About

This website aims to be a gathering place to foster an approach to life which is aligned to the wisdom of the heart, the essence of the self. It is a call to be who you are as fully as you can be in this life. Its purpose is to inspire those of you who have an interest in living life to the full and for linking with others who have like interest in becoming as conscious and compassionate as we can in a lifetime. It encourages living from our own individual personal power and living responsibly from that power, observing its expansion as we link more fully with our true nature. Heartskape is part of a growing global conversation the changes now being faced throughout the Earth and how best we can prepare for and respond to this historic phase of transition.

The Irish word for gathering is “cruinniu” and the sort of meeting that happens here is more in the mode of friendly conversation and fireside talk than one of the more formal kinds of meetings in which we sometimes have to engage. It seems that the old Irish Cruinniu was such a gathering and this site is therefore intented to be a Cruinniu for our times. That is not to say to that the quality of information or reflection provided here will be soft or flakey, quite the contrary. The content of material which it is intended to provide on this site is intended to be rigorous and from all up to date and verified sources. Through these communications we can help and support each other and those who visit the site and many who don’t in the dramatic period of historical and evolutionary transition which has now commenced on Earth.

The site originated in a trip to Iceland by me on the cusp of Spring 2009. In Ireland this date 1st of February is the quintessentially feminine festival of Brigid, a saint in the Irish Christian tradition and earlier a Goddess.  The website name heartskape comes in part from the purpose of the site coupled with the fact that most site names with the word heart were already assigned. Even or especially in the world of evolving consciousness we have to be quintessentially practical! The “k” in heartskape does give the name a slightly Icelandic feel, evoking Reykjavik and other Icelandic words, linking it to its Icelandic origins. There is a separate page on the site for information and links to Iceland.

I hope that what you read and watch here and what you contribute will help you walk and wander more fully in your own heartscape and in that of this wonderful world in which we are privileged to find ourselves at this time on change and enchantment.
